SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Retama Park Quarter Horse meet will get underway on Thursday, June 27, 2024 and offer 23 nights of live racing - Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 6:15 pm (Central) through Saturday, August 17.

The Northeast San Antonio track has been adding several new operation enhancements to the facility and focused on improving the stable area and main facility. One new enhancement was bringing on TicketSmarter online ticket platform, which allows customers to buy tickets in advance, online and use their phone to download and scan tickets upon arriving for the races. Advance ticket sales began online June 1, and offer fans the opportunity to reserve Box Seats and tables in Terrace Dining.

Retama Park will also bring back some fan favorite events, including Camel & Ostrich races, Fireworks Show in July and Weiner Dog races on August 17 to finish up the meet. A complete list of special events and promotions and stakes races are listed below.

“Our racing fans in San Antonio are going to be treated to fun-filled summer of watching America’s Fastest Athletes, the America Quarter Horse. We are also bringing back some promotions that have been big hits in the past,” said Bryan Petttigrew, Vice President and General Manager of Retama Park. “Horsemen have witnessed what our Team at Retama Park has done to transform the facility, and we are excited to welcome back the fans to the track on June 27!”

Online Reservations can be made for Box Seats and Terrace Dining in advance of live racing dates to avoid any lines when arriving at Retama Park. The track offers free seating on the Grandstand Level (2nd Floor) and Track Level (1st Floor) for fans wishing to purchase general admission only, in advance.
